Trout Tails - May 1, 2017

The spring has been off to a good start water wise, but the hatches seem to be a little screwy this year, maybe it is just me.  With the water, we were able to get the boat out Friday.  Caught a pile of fish nymphing in the morning, but couldn't bring myself to take any photos of them (washed out stockies).  We did catch a couple nice smallmouth as well, and they were a little more photo worthy.  Also experienced a great Grannom hatch, but they must not of looked enough like food pellets for the stockies to eat them as almost no fish were rising.  Those that did rise were inconsistent at best.
