TDF Chile - 2023

The last time I was in Chile, Herb and I got back in February of 2020, a week before they started shutting everything down for COVID.  It's been 3 years since we have been back, which is way too long.  This year, Brad was able to go with us for his first trip down.  We based out of Estancia Cameron Lodge, splitting our time camping and staying at the lodge.  The fishing was outstanding as usual.  The Lodge also recently did a complete remodel and it looks fantastic.  There are a few pics below, but I'll have more up on my Facebook page soon.  

I took a ton of photos, and admittedly, these are just the ones I was able to get processed.  There are still a bunch more I need to go through.  Great fish, great scenery, and great friends.  Tierra Del Fuego is a special place.  The weather can be unpredictable at times, we went from sun, to rain, to hail one day in the span of about an hour, but the fishing is unbelievable.  If anyone is interested in booking a trip, message me and I can get you set up!  

All in all, wonderful trip.  Fish were caught, great food and drink was consumed, world problems were solved, new friends were made, and great ideas and plans were hatched.

There were probably a hundred scuds on my waders just from standing in the water at one of the shallow lagunas. It is easy to see how the fish get so big.

Don't usually build fires because of the wind, but we were soaked from all day rain and had a shelter to break the wind.

I started this pile about 15 years ago to mark a rock near our campsite.  It is getting rather large haha.
